Shannon Dikkema is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor offering Relational Somatic Therapy on Indigenous territory in Duncan, BC.
Additionally, she has done a 4 year honours BA in Political Science, Sociology, History and Psychology with a focus on social justice, global social justice and women’s studies courses.
Shannon holds sacred, present space for the more painful and tender experiences in life. She loves to work with people to facilitate them gaining skills and presence. When we honour and integrate the stress, trauma and pain, we can move into life with more vitality, skills and choices. Her passion is resilience, the growth that can happen when we learn how to be with the less easy parts of life.
Shannon is deeply grounded in the gratitude for being alive, being a parent and spending time in nature. She works to reduce oppression of all types be it abuse, racism or other systematic forms of oppression. She has her own history with somatic counselling work in the client seat and has used embodied mindfulness to heal trauma, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and a traumatic post-birth operation.
After 20 years of learning, growing and studying, she is so excited to be offering this gift to others.
LGTBQA2S++ and
