Additionally I have done a 4 year honours BA in Political Science, Sociology, History and Psychology with a focus on social justice, global social justice and women’s studies courses. I am committed to working to reduce oppression of all types.  I have special focus education on abuse, racism and other systematic forms of oppression. I am currently working on my MA in Counselling Psychology in order to be more accessible for clients with benefits.

As a white and cis-gendered therapist, I understand it is my responsibility to do the learning necessary to be a safe therapy space for my BIPOC and LGTBQ2A++ clients.

I feel so grateful to hold sacred, present space for the more painful and tender experiences in life.  I love to offer my own embodied wisdom, presence, empathy and understanding to your process.

Working with clients to facilitate gaining skills and presence and power and access to their own body’s wisdom is my passion.

I believe that when we honour and integrate the stress, trauma and pain, we can move into life with more vitality, skills and choices. I see this happening for clients every day.

My goal is resilience in all parts of ourselves.  Also, the growth that can happen when we learn how to stay present with the less easy parts of life. Tension and pain can help us grow as long as we have the right kind of support.

I am deeply grounded in gratitude for being alive.  I love the sensory experience of connection to land and nature, wilderness and movement.  I am committed to learning and growing in my own life and bringing fresh inspiration to those whose lives I am honoured to touch.  My parenting journey has been a process of personal growth, surrender and delight.

I discovered somatic psychotherapy over 20 years ago as a client and have used it and embodied mindfulness practices to heal developmental trauma, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and a traumatic post-birth operation.  I respect my lineage, both genetically and educationally with my commitment to authenticity and clarity and feeling in all areas of my life and work.

I have 19 years experience working with groups and 10 years experience in individual counselling and mentorship.
